Thanked: 2209Are these blades still good? ......
Hey guys
Today I went to an estate (tag) sale and picked up these DE blades. The packaging has not been opened on any of these. Is it possible that they are still usable?

I would think so, but if there are more than one package of each brand I would only open one of them ans keep the other as an investment item. If there is only one of a particular brand/type I wouldn't want to affect it being collectible by opening it.
If you do open one, remember these are not like the modern versions. Modern versions are coated. A used vintage DE or SE is a prime candidate for one of the vintage DE/SE blade sharpeners that are around."The sharpening stones from time to time provide officers with gasoline."

the platinum plus go for good money on ebay, i've not tried them but they seem to have a loyal fan base.

As long as they are not rusted (which they do not appear to be), they should be good.
