a while back i got some sample blades. here are my initial thoughts on what was sent to me.

these are only based on limited use and arranged by aggressiveness as they were sent to me, so please dont crucify me if you see that a blade belongs in a different aggressiveness.
also these were all loaded into a fairly cheap and mild razor.
I have reserved a feather blade for its own review since it seems to be a blade that has a very polarized following.

MILD:
gillette platinum: rather uncomfortable, not a close shave, i wont buy these
Dorco platinum: decent shave, close, comfortable, not amazing, 2 nicks, seem middle of the road, i might buy these
Treet classic: smooth, good shave, left razor burn under lip, i might buy these
Treet platinum: comfortable feel but not a close shave, i wont buy these
shark:felt rough or not sharp, uncomfortable, fairly close shave, i wont buy

MEDIUM:
astra superior platinum: good close shave. quite comfortable. no razor burn. will likely buy even as a second choice
super max titanium: good shave, pretty close, very smooth on face, very efficient, i would buy
rapira platinum lux: ok shave, steep angle required, burned my upper lip, not very efficient, i wont buy these
new lord platnum class:smooth, easy shave, NOT efficient. i wont buy
personna super stainless: smooth glide, very cmfortable, not very efficient but close shave, i probably wont buy

AGGRESSIVE:
gillette silver blue: fairly smooth, pretty efficient, close shave, 1 cut, i might buy
pannpa super stainless: pretty smooth, no nicks, really close shave, worth a second look
rapira swedish supersteel:smooth shave, 1 nick. pretty close, also worth a second look
