Default First Complete Shave with Merkur 34C.

I have been shaving with my Dovo BQ and doing touch ups with the Merkur. Today, however, I was running late and so I did a 3 pass shave with the Merkur 34C and Derby blade. Very nice shave.

That is the only new safety razor that I have ever bought, and it is a good one. I let my wife try it almost 10 years ago and I never got it back. Since then, I have bought two more of them as gifts. I'm sure there might be better razors out there but I've never had the need to look for one.

My first DE was a Vision and I hated it. Fortunately it befell a terrible fate (har har) so I replaced it with the 34C. I thought it was just a generally good all around shaver and I still have it. Are there better? Sure there are but you really can't go wrong with one especially for someone starting out.

I'm partial to the 37c, but the 34c is a close second.

One of my first razors after joining a small now defunct forums. Love the gold 34G HD.

Well, I was running late today so I did three fast passes with the 34c with a Feather blade. The 34c takes the bite out of the Feather, but it's still really sharp and a BBS was easy to obtain with that combo, without fearing the Weasles Ripped My Flesh look.
