Getting Her On Board.
So I'm a dedicated straight razor man and I've shaved my wife's legs for her a couple times. She does the shave in the shower thing and a straight is just not practical for her.So today I asked her if she would like to try a db edge safety razor and she had no clue.(grew up with plastic disposables) So I showed her a pic and gave her a explanation and she said sure I would try that.I emidiatly went online and cancelled the dollar shave club I had opened for her eheheh.I ordered her a inexpensive perfecto long handle 3 piece and a box of Persona blades. If it's not her thing at least I'm not out much and I can always leave it at the homestead in the Bush should I forget my razor or something.

Thanked: 250Good for you. Most of the women I know like gadgetry. She just might like it and you might have to buy her a bigger purse to hold it.

Thanked: 4826Well good luck. My daughters like the brush and the good soap, I did give my wife a DE adjustable. No one seem very interested other than that though. My wife still buys the crazy priced cartridges. To each there own I guess. Everyone like the badgers and soap though.

Thanked: 3795About ten years ago I invited my wife to try my new Merkur 34C HD.
She tried it once, and I never got it back. Once was all it took for her to permanently give up on her cartridge razors.

My wife sometimes can use brush and cream but I have not succeeded in bringing her in DE shaving

I'm hoping that the razor I ordered isn't to aggressive,it has some grooves but not open combs. And the persona blades are supposedly not to harsh and easy on the skin.

Good luck, bought the wife a lady Gillette a few years back but she didn't care for it.

Thanked: 580Picked up a nice Lady Gillette about 3 years ago for my wife, she loves it. Initial cost was up there, but has easily paid for itself in not buying carts which are ridiculous expensive here.
