Surprised you only got 3 shaves out of a blade. Was getting at least 4 from a Feather DE. Nice razor though.

Grazor, I'm sure that you know by now that the number of shaves one gets from a blade depends on many different variables . . . how thick & wirily one beard is, how long/number of days in between shaves, how close you want your shave to be (DFS or BBS), etc. I have a "medium" (again this is very subjective) beard, shave every other day (sometimes 2 days in between) and would probably get one or two more shaves out of a blade than someone who has a heavy, coarse beard. So unless you are comparing "apples to apples; oranges to oranges", comparing different peoples experiences regarding the number of shaves one gets from a particular blade, is meaningless, IMHO!

Not exactly meaningless when you consider some of the members using feather pro blades in the Kasmisori style razors are getting 6-7 shaves from a blade. At near $1 a blade for the oneblade system, that is quite expensive IMHO, and so is the razor. I would have expected more than 3 no matter the beard type, and up to 7. Will be interested to read how you get on.

Must be. How does it compare to the Mongoose? The head on that thing looks bulky, same with the Mongoose.

I would expect to get at least 3 shaves on my OneBlade (remember I have a "Medium" beard) as I always get 3 shaves on all my blades, regardless of the razor/blade that I am using. I just discard my blade after 3 shaves as a "matter of policy (my own)". I could probably get more shaves from some of the blades, but then it really doesn't matter to me, as comfort is more important than $$. Most blades are relatively cheap, so the 3 shaves per blade rule works well for me. Regarding the Feather 10 blade for the OneBlade razor, Bullgoose a US company (California) sells the Feather 10 for $6.50 a pack of 10, which equals to $.65 a blade, $65 for 100 blades. There is a company in the U.K., Connaught which sells the blade a little cheaper, around $.60 a blade, including shipping.

Must be. How does it compare to the Mongoose? The head on that thing looks bulky, same with the Mongoose.
I also have a Mongoose which is a great razor and I use in my current rotation of ATT R1, ATT S1, Mergress, and Mongoose. When I receive my OneBlade, next week, I will add that razor to my rotation. So as you can see, I shave every other or third day, and will be using 5 different razors. The ATT's and the Mergress use regular DE blades (I use various brands, Astra, Persona Reds, GSB), I use Feather Artist Club Pros in my Mongoose and of course will be using Feather 10's in my OneBlade. I generally receive excellent shaves with all my current razors, DFS/BBS, no irritations, no weepers and stick to my "3 shaves per blade" rule!

The Mongoose appears to be bulky but it's not. It's an efficient razor.

After checking out the oneblade website Google will not leave me alone. I just checked the weather forecast and there were 3 adds on that page.

Same thing here, might have to buy one to get rid of the ad...
