Thanked: 1079Mongoose Razors At SRD
I want to congratulate SRD for becoming the second retailer authorized to sell the famous Mongoose Razor. I have owned several of these razors and from personal experience I can report they are a fantastic shaver. Currently only the stainless steel satin version is available but in the future they will also sell the AlumiGoose.

Thanks for the heads up. I love my Mongoose. I just took a look and I see SRD is also carrying Above The Tie and Ikon safety razors, along with the Feather and others. First class stuff for sure.

I guess the Mongoose is going mainstream.

Thanked: 1079It's my understanding that when the AlumiGoose is released the price will be under $100 . Non polished razors (satin, matte) are easier to finish and less expensive to produce. Mongoose Razors currently doesn't have a polishing shop as they have gone through 9 different companies without success. Making quality razors is not easy and very expensive.

This is all good from Mongoose. They have done an amazing job with their product. I have the original high polished, the satin finish and the aluma goose. I am passing my high polish original model on to someone else but will keep to satin and aluma goose forever.

Gentlemen,
I join in congratulating SRD for offering the Mongoose. It is a superb razor. More and more, I find myself using the Mongoose rather than my other sweet safety razor, the ATT S1 slant. For me, the straight razor is becoming a weekend affair, mostly because arthritis prevents me from using it daily. Anyway, the Mongoose is good stuff.

Thanked: 1079The Alumigoose aka Goose2 will be shipped for sale Monday 4/4 per their Facebook page. There is also a limited full titanium Mongoose in the works and eventually to be sold in limited quantities. And finally a new thinner head Mongoose similar to the Alumigoose head but made of stainless steeel is in full production. Very exciting news if you like SE blades.

An aluminum razor hold zero attraction for me. A metal snob I guess ....... OTOH, a titanium head is quite attractive, and the thinner stainless head might be as well. Thanks for the heads up.
