Default Is there any love for the wolfman here?

I recently bought a wolfman dual comb and was wondering what other people's experience has been with them.

Most people here are predominantly straight razor shavers but a few still use a DE/SE razor too. In today's SOTD there are 2 of us that used a Wolfman razor.

I ordered my Wolfman OC polished stainless steel head and had James increase the blade gap at the same time. I have used it on and off for 1 year. All I can say is that the fit and finish is pretty well flawless and it is one smooth close shaver. No regrets shelling out the money for that DE head, I got my moneys worth.

I think I'm going to have my blade gap opened up a little too. The craftsmanship is wonderful on mine but not aggressive enough for me. I'm still learning the straight razor skill so still need a backup.

At the time I ordered my Wolfman OC DE head I mailed back and forth with James and told hime the type of DEs I liked, aggressive ones, and asked for his suggestions based on that. Based on that he suggested the bigger gap. He was right on.

The biggest reason you don't see more about them is because they are so difficult to source. There is a very long waiting list.

Great razor - I had mine made more aggressive with the .74 gap also. James cut my Titanium handle to exactly 3 inches at my request (same as a New DeLuxe or Fat Boy), as well as reversing the swirling (just to be different) ..

What's unique about the Wolfman is the degree of customization he offers, which leads somewhat to the backlog.

The razor was ordered from Wolfman, waited my turn.
Then I sent it out to a gentleman named Otto Carter for engraving.

I have the OC and the SB version with .74 mm gap. The razor shaves great, it is extremely well made and finished.
