Thread: One blade review

First, this is not a razor for everyone. It is very expensive and you only get 1 or 2 shaves from a blade costing about $.89 each. It's like a fine expensive Italian sports car. Beautiful in every way. This is the best engineered, design and functional razor DE or SE I have ever used and I used a lot in 55 years. Right out of the box you are overwhelmed with the detail, quality, and design. To install a blade, you just push it through the top slot. I found that task was much easier if you wash the blade under hot water to remove the glue before loading. The Pivot really sets this apart. It is just the right amount of resistance. Like my Mongoose, pressure is essential. Light does it. I found 3 passes worked best. I also like the shorter width. Easier to get into hard places like the upper lip and chin. Results: After 4 shaves it performs flawlessly. Very close, smooth, and irritation free. No burn with Alum bloc. Is it better then my Futur, Mongoose or other DE's or SE's? If you can afford it, it will give you a great shave. It's like a Mastro Livi razor, really performs and looks great but an Aust will give you a great shave also. The feel and balance does set this above any DE or SE razor I have used. Perfect! The razor holder also is an amazing extra along with a beautiful leather travel case. My major concern is if this company goes out of business or Feather stops making the blades for this razor, you are really screwed. My Futur will always have great blades available and costs about a quarter of the ONE BLADE.

Just picked up blades for $.44 a blade from Connaught Shaving. A really good price.
