Yes sir. I think they put more attention to those, specially that silver coating on the handle, that's beautiful work.

I have the Above the Tie Slant closed comb and though it's a nice razor it's nothing special. Compared to the Mongoose the overall shave ain't in the same ballpark with the Mongoose.

Well it is a totally different shaving experience, though for me the end result is the same. The mongoose is certainly a great razor, but the ABT slant is no slouch, and I don't have to 'walk on eggs' when I'm shaving with it, as I do with the goose, or the 1st model Muhle 41. YMMV
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Yea the Mongoose can be a bit on the touchy side but I don't find it even close to the R41 as far as aggressiveness goes. However my son thinks the world of the ABT so I guess there's something for everyone.

An excellent review of the ATT slant. Yes, it is a fine razor: smooth, comfortable and efficient. It is also well made. You've made a good choice.
