Default Two days after first DE, already ordered second one

After receiving my first DE razor (Merkur 33c) and handling it a bit (not actually shaving) I was a little concerned about the short handle having become accustomed to a much longer custom Task II handle. Well the Black Friday deals sucked me in and I ordered a Muhle R89 at 30% off and will likely end up sending the Merkur back. The Muhle R89, while not a "long handle" or "heavyweight" model according to specs is .5" longer and .4 ounces heavier than the Merkur 33c. Who knows, I could end up keeping them both but for $36 I couldn't pass up the Muhle since that was one of the 3-4 models I was initially considering. Hoping the extra bit of length makes the difference in feel.

    Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks Jimmy. I did see that model and was a close call between it and the Muhle R89. Couldn't pass up the sweet sale price on the R89.

I'm with Jimmy. Love the slant bar, and find it a mild shaver.

    I'd keep the Merkur regardless.

The Edwin Jagger DE89 never fails to give a comfortable shave.
