Thanked: 5feather prices?
So Ive put a lot of time in testing all sorts of DE blades, and found that I greatly prefer Feathers. Of course I would have to love the blades that are 4 times the price as anything else. so my question is: can they be found in stores for a reasonable price? ive tried my nearby grocery stores (albertsons, safeway, and fred meyers.) and not found any on the shelves. or am I better off ordering them from the lowest cost spot online.

They are more expensive, but not 4 times, at the place I get them. I buy my DE blades at Bullgoose.

Thanked: 351A sub $1 price per blade is still way cheaper than the going rate for cartridge blades. I lucked out many years ago and got bulk packs of 250 feather blades for very little... I'm having a hard time using them.... Once they are gone, they are gone and I'll have to pay the same everyone else does.
From what I have seen, you are pretty much stuck with speciality stores for Feather blades. You could always check with your nearest Beauty Supply Co., but chances are pretty slim. Regular brick and mortar stores are unlikely to carry such a speciality item. Your best bet is reputable dealers on the Internet.
Good luck in your search.

Thanked: 3225from what I have seen recently the price of Feather blades has gone down because they seem to be on sale quite a bit. Just saw 100 Feathers for about $24.00 US. That seems to be nearly the same cost as 100 Gillette Silver Blues which seem to be comparable in the way they shave for me.
There are plenty of cheaper brands but if they don't work as well for you they don't really count for much. Feathers for me @ 24 cents a blade seems cheap enough.

I cant recall recently how much I seen them for ( got an advertisement form Amazon in the email) but I think your right Bob they were only around 24 cents, that's cheap for what you get, if I didn't have 3-400 of them I would have bought some, I paid closer to 40 cents for mine Tc

I believe online shopping is your best bet. When you find the one you like, by them in bulk. I have a lifetime supply of my favorite, the Gillette greens.

A quarter each here if you buy 100. I just bought 3 to get free shipping

Jimmy,
I buy my blades, all the brands I prefer — Feather, Gillette yellows, Polsivler, Astra and Personna reds — in bulk of 100 count. For the price, Google helps me comparison shop, and I usually find the most reasonable.
