Gillette adjustable.
So a few days ago I acquired a Gillette adjustable tto coded H2. Just shaved with it and honestly this razor is not for me. Felt like it wanted to stick to my face. Started at 4 which felt normal to my 3 piece gillette then tried 6 and it felt more sticky. Just too big and Billy for my liking. If the wife doesn't care for it I think this one may move on.

Thanked: 220That's too bad, but there's many more razors to try out! What year is H2?

Personally I've never cared for adjustables, but many guys swear by them. I've gotten one of my best shaves with a 1960 Fatboy (adjustable) but I didn't shave with it for years, until recently doing an experiment on .95 blade gap. Probably will never shave with it again.
OTOH, recently got a Feather AS-D2 (not adjustable) a very mild razor. I shaved with it 3 times before I figured it out. Now it is alright, and one to use when the occasion calls for a mild razor. Maybe you should give it a couple of more shaves before you give it up. IMHO.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Hate giving such a bad opinion right away but I believe that's where mine would end up. Like I said if my wife doesn't enjoy it then it's going. Right now she has a vander Hagen fRon wal mart so this would be a Step up for her

I have nothing bad to say about them (adjustable's) it's that they really don't do anything for the experience. There's nothing like an open comb from the 1930's for a great shave.
Well,,except maybe a straight from the 1800's.

I have an open comb from that time period and didn't care for that either. My brother in law uses it though and loves it. Had/has no clue how to use it properly. Lol he just grabs it and goes. I've offered to teach him and he doesn't seem to want to know so I let the blood letting commence. Gives me a great laugh about once a month.

I roll with a milder blade like a Shark with my combs. No desire to place a Feather in them.
