I borrowed my dads electric once. Just to give it a try. All i got was irritation and a half-assed shave. Rubbing the thing on my face over and over wasnt what i needed. As we ran out the door the ol'man looked at me and said "i thought you were going to shave?"
It's just Sharpening, right?

That's funny!! I grew up watching commercials of the successful dude in a nice car driving to work and shaving. They (the ads) are so ingrained, an electric just screams classy!! That's why I kept buying em time after time... what can I say I'm a product of my environment lol.

Thanked: 4206Great read, thanks for sharing.
I have a place in my rotation for my de’s. If I’m in a hurry, and to touch up what the straight sometimes misses, hidden under lather..
Fun to try different blades in them as well.
Fortunate to have a fat boy adjustable, as well as a couple of fixed angle blades to choose from.
Not to take a way from a gem single or even a well honed autostrop.
