Default Vintage Gillete safety razor - more info please

So my mum was clearing out her loft and found this razor.

I quite like the look of it but have no idea of age or anything. The razor looks like brass and the box looks like leather and felt lined. The sleeve looks pretty cool t

Can anyone give me any insights? There is no serial number

looks like a Gillette Big Fellow. I have one (actually shaved with it for the first time tonight) that is silver plated. They were made in the 1920s. there are different variations that look similar. Here is some more information on them. There is a confusing array of Gillettes but hopefully this will help.

I was thinking the tubed handle and the bottom cap should be together not separate. They were press-fit so it's just coming apart from wear over the years. So its a 3 piece razor, not 4. Plus all the silver has most likely worn off. It may have been brass but... Silver plating likes to wear off. With some polish you can that brass look great.
    It's just Sharpening, right?

Definitely an Old Type, but the case is isn't what is usually seen for the Big Fellow - the ones with shippers are rare .. here's some info on the various Old Types at Mr. Razor, where at a quick look I can't put that razor with that type of case .. does the razor require disassembly to go into the case? The weight may offer a clue as well .. Big Fellow Old Type goes around 82 gr, the standard Old Type weighs around 56 g

So it fits in the box fully assembled and its 56g. That makes it an Old Type, right?
