YMMV Soaps make a big difference for me. The best post shave feel soap for me is Sudsy Soapery Cola with rashoull clay.
The others I keep using in my rotation are good but that is a notch above post shave wise.
PM me if you'd like a sample.

Thanked: 3215Yup, start with a good Soap or Cream, and try a pre shave cream like Noxzema or Trader Joe’s Mango Aloe shave cream.
Can’t tell you how much difference a quality shave cream can make. I too would change one thing at a time and start with shave cream.
Also try different blades and razors. You can buy a wide blade assortment from most on-line vendors and try different blades for just a few dollars.
Tons of vintage 3-piece razors are available under $10 that can change the angle and can make a world of difference, you don’t need a $300, 3piece razor, unless you do.
The beauty of proper wet shaving is the ability to tailor the shave to your face, beard, and skin type. As opposed to the one size fits all cartridge razor, can goo mantra. You just have to find the combination that works for you.
