Thanked: 3225If you can live without the like new condition with box, papers and original blades they are quite a bit less. I got a good user condition toggle for less than $100.00 a few years ago. It shaves like my Gillette Fat Boy with the only difference to me being the toggle mechanism.

I have too many DE's to mention them all here but just off the top of my head.....Mercur 34c, R-41(original),mercur(some fancy thing they discontinued a few years ago, Gillette fatboy, one blade, Feather DS-2, above the tie, Timeless, Mongoose, standard, Rockwell model T, some others.
This beats them all. The closest is the Rockwell which is probably a bargain at it's price. I'm just not crazy about it's mechanism. It's very stiff, querky and imprecise but otherwise shaves great.
I've never seen a Gillette Toggle in person but considering how my Fatboy shaves the Janus is far superior in every way (to the fatboy) no matter the blade used.
By the way at 36 hours after the shave my stubble is exactly as it would be if I had used a Straight. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
