Default Leaf shave the twig review

Leaf has two razors now there original 3 blade pivoting head and the new one blade twig. I have zero interest in the three blade.

The twig is a non pivoting head razor. It uses any DE blade snapped in half. The blade is installed by twisting the handle which lifts the top of razor out and too the side. The top is narrower then other safety razors I've tried. It has a blade guard that sets the angle making getting the angle correct very easy.

I decided to try one, it arrived a couple days ago and this morning I tried it out with a Gillette silver blade. I was using it to shave my pubic hair.

    My impression:

This is on the mild side of medium in aggressive for a razor.

Snapping the blade and loading is pretty easy.

The narrower head combined with the angle guide made getting into that area without a mirror easier than using my traditional style safety razor.

The shave was irritation free and it shaved well.

Overall impression. This is a good razor for tight places it works well and paired with a mild blade would be a really good razor for beginners.

The only downside is the knurling on the handle is not the full length, the middle part is smooth. This didn't bother me but might some.

When I first read this, I thought it was a joke, but there it is, by golly. Amazing....

    Looks like a good product.
    No plastic wrapping.
    Quite pricey though.

My timeless was more than that, don't rember my merkur, the plow was 5 dollars used on EBAY.

Look at the one blade cost. This is a boutique company I'm not sure how many people total but I suspect around 5. In sort are there cheaper, yes are there more expensive, yes.

I'm happy with the purchase and will keep it rather than returning it.
