Thanked: 3228Yes, that is another favourite DE of mine too. I think some DEs get reputations from beginners trying them when their technique is not quite there yet. I always thought an adjustable DE was a good razors for beginners as they could dial up the aggressiveness, for lack of a better word, as their technique improved.

Thanked: 3228I just had a shave with the King Gillette 3 piece cc razor after I replaced the handle with a stainless steel Bulldog handle. What a difference, the Bulldog handle making the razor eminently more usable for me. I won't say that the supplied handle is a POS as it is better than nothing imo. Did manage a slightly closer shave too.
The head on the King Gillette 3 piece continues to be just fine with the King Gillette blade giving a smooth comfortable not quite BBS on the neck shave. That might improve too as the week goes on.

Thanked: 3228I had intended to use King Gillette 3 piece razor for this week's worth of shaves. Stopped using it today as I could not get as close or long lasting a shave with it compared to the safety razors I prefer. It might be a combination of too little blade exposure and too little a blade gap for all I know. The bright side is that it may still satisfy those who prefer a milder safety razor for their daily shavers. It is just not for me plus I don't care for the handle either.

That handle does look kinda wimpy. Not much for grip from this view.
It's just Sharpening, right?
