Default RR Lupo 95 initial impression

After using this DE for a few days, I am well satisfied with the purchase. It is well built and finished for a razor at its price point. It gives smooth comfortable 4 pass shaves. I love the Barber Pole handle with it's deep grippy cut knurling.

The only catch for some is that it is on the aggressive side of things. That should not be a problem for those that have very good DE shaving and lathering technique. It probably should not be anyone's first DE razor.

If you are looking for an aggressive DE in stainless steel at a price that won't break the bank this could be the one.

Hi Bob, where did you find that? I would like a closer look.

As I shave every three days or so, I picked up the version with the open comb and closed comb on either side of the head. Works very well. First pass with the open comb followed by the second with the more aggressive closed comb. Then touch-ups with the closed-comb side. Still have to use the open-comb with an ATG pass at the base of my neck for some reason.

Thanks for the report Bob. But I will have to pass. You guys love them very agressive razors. I do like one when I have 4 days growth. But for every day I'm more in the med/mild catagory. Still, it's nice to see others playing with the DE razors too.
Now where is that Phili for tonights shave.

I don't have a choice in the matter at the moment unfortunately.

Great review Bob, and a very fair price for a stainless razor.
    Arko hard to beat too.
    Hope you are all good.

I picked up a Lupo 72 second hand and am just getting to know it. It gives excellent 3 pass BBS shaves, but a bit more aftershave feedback from the Old Spice splash on. It’s also a little more aggressive than I’m used to (I like a Rockwell 6s plate 4 or 5), but definitely a keeper.
