Segal Razor
Hello all. I picked up one of the Segal razors...

the razor was an extremely good deal... The top cap wound up with some corrosion that wound up eating through one spot but I have been able to patch that and it seems to be holding up pretty well... Anyone else have one of these razors??Give me Sunshine , a pair of shorts , and a warm beach and I'm fine

I will post a few pics soon. I still need to consider replating it but don't know right yet if aI am gonna do it right now. It has been clear coated right now and works I guess ( I haven't used it yet , but looks solid enough ) but it is def a user grade "restore" right now ( the "patch " material is showing...)...

Gasman posted about restoring nickel plating, or more accurately re-plating, a while back. I believe it was in the "what are you working on," thread. You might look at that because the results he got were fabulous.

I had a Segal. IIRC, it uses special blades. Very close to regular Gillette type blades.
Seems I trimmed a blade here or there and it worked fine. You should be able to see the difference.
