Actually they do Mike. When you pay hundreds, you'll smile. When you get them and see them, you'll frown! Watch out for hucksters! The carnival must be in town....

Thanked: 171Now that Dovo and Merkur are no longer linked, the old division of Dovo producing straight razors and Merkur producing safety razors seems to have come to and end.
Dovo now has ventured into the safety razor market with the Primo, and Merkur continues to produce safety razors after exiting insolvency, but under new ownership and at a new Solingen address.
Will be interesting to see how shavers respond to a Dovo safety razor. It would have been nice if this razor had been a stainless steel one, but Dovo being quiet about the materials used and only talking about the chrome-plating process hints that we may have another Zamak razor here. I have no problems with Zamak, but Dovo could have been a bit more adventurous with their first safety razor design.
My need for safety razors is more than adequately covered by my Tataras and Mühles, which I always felt had a better built quality and finish than Merkurs, and I think I shall pass this one.
