I don't have any problem with them personally. Seem to be better than the Merkurs that came with my Merkur HD.
Everyone's different, though...

The US made Personna blades do tend to run a bit dull for me as well. If you can find the ones marked "Blades made in Israel" those seem to have a keener edge.

Thanked: 2I bought the walmart personna platinum chrome to test a bunch of de razors i scored at the antiques this week. Only because i live in a small town and there's nothing around but a mega-walmart. I found my silvertech and ss got a great shave with it. Each one with a new razor. But then when i tried my senator with a new blade it left me with a few nicks and alot of burn. Upon further inspecting the blade position on the razor... it's got me thinking it has a more aggressive profile. Maybe its just me. Other than that the walmart personna works fine for me, but then again i havent tried any others.

Thanked: 1I have had good luck with my supply of Personna double edge safety razor blades that I bought several months ago at a drug store in the USA. They give me about 10 close and comfortable shaves per blade. But different batches from various sources may produce different results. The type of razor they are used with can make a difference, especially if it is an adjustable razor.

Thanked: 0Personna blades...
are a product of the American Safety Razor Company, Staunton Virginia. I think that you problem my be a result of the angle of the blade in relation to your face. I currently use the same blades and have had no such problem with them. (I'm using one of the last of the 1991 permutations of Gillette's last double-edge razor manufactured in Great Britain.) Someday soon, I'll be purchasing an older double-edge razor for daily use. (I can't see myself using any of the new plastic "throwaway" razors.) The double-edge razor gives me a better shave, and it winds up being less expensive in the long run.Scott
