    Default Who is this guy?

Got it for free with a straight razor, it shaves very well, unfortunately I never use it, but it looks cool

I think it's a very very basic DE, as it is still the kind in three pieces. Nothing fancy.

Does it have any markings at all? It looks like there is a text on the handle?

    I see what looks like "M E R K..."

Surely a Merkur, then, but I don't know much about the different models.

Hi, yes it says Merkur indeed. But that's about it

You might find it here. There is also a contact address.
If you e-mail them the picture they probably have info.

    Good luck.

I'm not sure since I have never used or owned a Merk, but its a good looking razor at least, though no match for my EJ 89

    Gentlemen,

In my pilgrim's opinion, that looks like a Merkur shave head.

And, Drew, I agree with you on the Edwin Jagger 89L. I think it is hard to match.

    Regards,
    Obie

It's a Merkur HD. Nice score.

The exact model is a Merkur HD 34C.

I have one exactly like it and its a great little shaver! I use it on the days when I'm in a bit too much of a rush to use one of my straights. In fact, I shaved with it this morning!

That looks like the Merkur Standard Classic. Not the HD version.

I have the same one. It's a nice razor.
