+1. I believe taking the same care and attention with using a DE as you would when using a SR is the key to getting a superb DE shave as opposed to an servicable one.

I agree completely. These razors and their S/E counterparts were specifically designed so you could shave your own face. Straight razors were designed to allow a barber to shave someone else's face. Go figure.
