Thread: De blades

Hello, Duelist:

I flip the razor every two strokes, like a two-count musical beat. In other words: 1,2 flip; 1,2 flip. Then I rinse the shave head and repeat the process for the entire pass. I also use Feather blades and change them after three shaves. This process works quite well for me. I don't see the merit in trying to sharpen double edge blades.

I also use both sides of the blade, one side of the blade for each side of my face. A blade usually lasts me 6-8 shaves.

I think you should get 5 shaves out of a good blade. As a routine I turn it around from one side of the face to the other to keep the blade wear even but I've never stropped them. There's plenty of gadgets on Ebay to strop DE blades though.
