I am crazy about my late 40's Aristocrat. It has the perfect blade exposure for me as well as being a very handsome DE.

Thanked: 220Very nice examples here. Personally, I own a 1948-ish Aristocrat, but the gold plating hasn't held up as good as the Aristocrat's posted here. Either way, it was my favorite until I found a '38 Canadian Tech.

Thanked: 52I've got a '46-7 Aristocrat and have found it to be a great shaver with a great heft and feel. It's roughly equivalent to my EJ barley (which I really like too) and a fatboy in the middle numbers. It's a piece of art and when I use a DE, I use it often in the rotation with a yellow Gillette 7 o'clock blade. With a Feather blade, it's more equivalent to a higher number or two on the fatboy--but with a Feather, many DE's seem more aggressive.
