Don't worry if you "missed" on a few items (not suggesting you did), because it won't be long until your entire bathroom is overflowing with all types of shaving gear!
Please, make your suggestion. All suggestions are taken into consideration. Fire away!

For now I am using a DE Gillette and then I will try my Merkur 38C. Eventually I will go to a straight. I have a treasure trove at my local barber. He promised me one from his vintage collection. I'll have to beg him for maybe two or three more.

What are you going to use all of this with?
Right now a DE until I get comfortable. Like the previous post suggested, I will inherit a some very vintage and beautiful straight razor(s) from my barber. He has some really cool old razors from way back when his dad ran the barber shop. I don't want to cheat him either, I want to give some cash for some of them unless he insists on letting me have them. I see myself using a straight maybe in the summer time.

    Thanks for all the encouragement.

I am excited. The shaving cream smells amazing. I've been using canned goo for so long that this is like a luxury cream. I know it's not but you get the gist.

Oh nice haul indeed, but watch out for those Derby Verts; they ruined my face, and I hope your luck is better than mine.

This is the brush I found at my local Target store.

Man! I looked all over for one of those when I first heard they could be found at Target. Apparently not in my area though! I've got a new brush on the way from bestshave.net via a forum member here so I'm not too upset. But maybe when I go down for my mother-in-law's college graduation in may, I'll scope out the Target stores down that way.

    Peace,

P.S.- If you click on the little symbol at the lower right of each post you want to respond to, it will quote them for you in a multi-quote. (It's an upside down " with a + sign next to it: "+ ) Then on the last post you want to reply to click "reply with quote" and they will all be there. Sometimes for me that window's too small, so then I click "go advanced" and you get more room to work with all those quoted messages.

Thanks for that tip. I was wondering how that was done and now you've enlightened me.
