Thanked: 10A great shave tonight. Parker 91r/ personna blade 3rd day in!
Hi guys,
As a follow up to my original post about my Parker 91r that seemed to all of a sudden hate my face.
Tonight I went WAY easy. I tilted my head a little to allow the weight of the razor (which is substantial) rest on my skin. I basically only use enough finger strength to guide it along.
It turned out to be a great shave!
Its so hard to unlearn years for Mach 6 fuzion vibration etc... that once you start clawing at your skin with this sucker, its too late! I went as easy as possible, and it turned out really well. I'm going to try a couple of different blades over the next little while and see what happens. I've got some Dorco, feather, and sharks to load up.
Small victories are worth celebrating.

great job! after using bic disposables for years i went to straight razors. i want to try a safety razor too. i was thinking about this exact one, but after your previous thread i was gonna opt out. glad you figured out the problem wasn't the razor after all.

Thanked: 10Hi,
yes it was strange. My first shave with it I was cautious so went really lightly and.....got a decent shave.
Then I switched to a bic for three shaves, and went commando wiht the safety razor. Low and behold it was a brutal experience.
I think with the weight of this thing, its extremely improtant to go as lightly as possibly without dropping it.
Good luck, Id say its a good bet.
