    Default SE Blades

Wanted to know what blades everyone likes best for SE's. I bought treets at the local drug store and they last me for two shaves. Anything better.....suggestions....

Gem stainless blades are all I use, they give a wonderful smooth shave.

When I do use the SE I generally use GEM. I order fairly regular from EMS and almost always order something from their blades page (don't tell my grant committee).

    Trimmy72,

I have got the best results with my GEM/Ever-Ready SE razors from the GEM PTFE Coated Stainless blades, which as has been said above can be got from EMS (codes 71970 & 71971) :

    Razor Blades, Scapels, and Saws

You can also get them from

Coonaught Shaving (in the UK ) GEM Stainless Coated Single Edge Razor Blades

Ted Pella (Code 121-3) Dissection Tools, Scissors, Blades, Forceps, Scalpels, Spatulas

    Have fun !

    Best regards

I can tell you from experience which ones not to use; any blades purchased at a hardware store not speficially meant for shaving. As me how I know this tidbit of information There's a big difference between saving money and being cheap. In the case of SE blades cheap usually equals pain.

Thanks everyone! I picked up Gems at Walgreens. They seem to hold an edge better and no rust to boot. The Treets would rust and last for three (uncomfortable) shaves or less. Here's another question. Does anybody make new SE razor's?
