Thanked: 2201948 Gillette Mach 3
Laugh at me if you wish, but I had to share this. So.....I decided to give my straights a hiatus & shave with my 1948 Gillette Aristocrat tonight. I had an excellent BBS-2 pass shave, and I opened it up to rinse it out. I accidently dropped the blade out and to my surprise, 3 blades were laying in the bottom of the sink! They were so perfectly mated when I loaded them, (the oil stuck them together), that I didn't even notice that I was shaving with the three blades! This was my third shave after replacing the blade, but in all fairness, I got good shaves every time, even though I wasted 2 blades! Has this happened to any of you? I hope so, it might make me feel better.

I did the same thing with rhree straights... No, not really... That neat that it worked though.. Probalby could of been a bad day if one of them slipped. Sideways or something.

Thanked: 220The blade stays very tight in a Gillete Aristocrat, I can see why it didn't slip.

Hehee, if you lived back in 48', you could've patented it as the first three-blade razor and be filthy rich

Thanked: 5What's a 1948 Mach 3? Did you take a DE and load 3 blades into it?
