Thread: Favourite Part Of The Shave

I like washing the blood out of the sink and applying the Styptic at the same time. Restoring the sink to its original white is very uplifting.

As this thread is in the Safety Razor forum was the OP referring to DE's, straights or simply shaving in general?

No matter, my favourite part of the shave (regardless of razor type) is feeling my face after the alum block/final rinse and it feeling smooth as glass. It's even better after shaving off a few day's growth, both tactilely and visually.

I enjoy the whole process of the shave, but my favorite thing is using an extra hollow straight on 2-3 days growth. The sound of the blade singing as it cuts the stubble reminds me of the plinking of an old music box.

First stroke, then feeling on the face with my finger tips and finding out the blade is sharp enough. Very Satisfying...

I think my favorite part of the shave is the end, when I put on the aftershave and feel nothing but the coolness of the lotion and no sting. BBS... Then I know I've had a great shaving experience.
