I've stuck with the 1904 and Astra blades, and have had perfect shaves from it recently. I think my issue was that, used to the incredible mildness of the EJ DE, I was using too much pressure and expecting comparable shaves from a markedly different razor. Last 4 shaves have been perfect, one pass BBS and far less weepage except when I redo trouble spots like my chin.
