That clean and with an undamaged gold finish ( gold finishes on vintage Gillettes aren't known for their longevity, especially on the later ones, and the Super adjustable is pretty much the last DE they made), I'd say that it is more a collector piece than a daily shaver. It will shave very well, but you can get a user grade chrome for 15 bucks or so on the bay that will shave exactly the same w/o losing value ( and its plating).

I have heard different people say different things, but the one that made the most sense to me for the difference in value between the chrome and gold versions is that the gold was more the "Aristocrat" version, and somewhat more uncommon. It really was the last quality (metal) adjustable DE model that Gillette made to boot.
