Default Beauty that is hard to resist

    Gentlemen,
I find beauty hard to resist. I am quite fond of this razor, a Muhle "Sophist" in the light buffalo horn handle I use for an occasional treat. Often shuffling into the shave den, I take the razor out of the stand and admire it. I thought I would share.

Fondling and staring at razors eh Obie? Well, I guess there are worse things to do that to.

By the way a glass of cognac next to that razor would have been perfecto.

Right you are, my friend, some things are worth fondling.
As for your other thought, unfortunately, I was out of cognac, my usual hootch for medicinal purposes, and somehow Irish whiskey didn't fit the picture.
    Ah, there's always something, what?

Oh, yes, Armagnac is another wonder hootch that has been my friend for many years. Yes, that and the razor would make for a good gathering of friends.

Yes, it is a very nice piece indeed. How do you like to shave with it? Is it handle or head-heavy, or perfectly balanced?

Thanks for the kind words. I love the shave with the razor — the Muhle shave head is superb. The razor is relatively light. The buffalo horn handle might look heavy, but it is far from it. Match it to the Muhle shave head and you have a perfectly balanced razor. I love this razor. Eventually I plan to switch the shave head to the FaTip open comb, as more and more I find myself using the open comb razors.

I'm glad to hear that it shaves as good as it looks. Enjoy.
