I need some help finding the year of my Tuckaway. Serial Number is 548154-A- Can't seem to find it in the Us.Gillette Dating Information. Can someone help me locate the year it was made. Thank you.

Thanked: 220I probably can't date the razor for you, (I trust Domminigan's reply), but I would still like to see a pic of the razor. Any chance of posting it?

Enjoy it! My gold tuckaway is my favorite de razor. It's what I reach for when I'm using a de for more than a final pads when I'm straight shaving.

Look at this chart (thank you Badger & Blade). Your razor's serial number is 548154-A. Scroll down the serial numbers column until you see the first year that Gillette placed the letter *after* the number. You will see that Gillette used three groups of serial numbers that year. The first razor manufactured in 1921 under the third grouping had the serial number "1A." The last razor manufactured in 1921 under that grouping had the serial number "863912A." Your razor is within that sequence. Make sense now?
