Thanked: 0How do you hang your safety razor?
New guy here. I am still learning the ins and outs of shaving with a straight and safety razor.
I have seen different pictures of safety razors hanging on their stands. Some of them upright and some of them upside-down. Is there a right and wrong way? Is it just personal preference?

Thanked: 5I use some test tube holders - they're perfect for the task and it means that I can neatly store 36 of them under the sink.
My straights live in a drawer in my bedroom.

Thanked: 0Which one is better for the razor, or does it matter?

Gentlemen,
My double edge razors hang upright in a series of metal four-hole toothbrush holders. The seven-day Joris set, however, hangs upright in a multi-hole wooden rack specially designed for me.

Greetings,
I just picked up a couple DEs last week and I'm glad someone started this thread. I've got a storage spot in mind, and I like some of the hanger ideas that have been posted. One thing that I haven't seen addressed is, what about the blade its self? Every thing I've read on care and storage stresses not storing razors with blades in them. OK, fine, but where do you keep the blade? Living alone, I don't have to worry about someone being bothered with a blade laying in my medicine cabinet. But I'm guessing one of you'all have some slick idea as to where to keep them.
Have a great Sunday!! Don
