    Default Son first shave

Should 12 years old boy start shave or not? He has first dark stache and sideburns.

I'd say that's up to the boy. There's no time when one "must" start, really. But 12 is certainly within the normal start range for many. I started at 12 myself... REALLY needed to. My peach fuzz and stache were growin' into a beard. LOL

I'd say if he has facial hair he's ready. I didn't use a safety razor before I was in my mid-50s and consequently had irritation issues, so definitely take the opportunity get him off on the right foot!

My father had a friend who HAD TO SHAVE in 6th grade.

If the time has come for your son, guide him well! My own son had been shaving peach fuzz and slowly coming in whiskers for a few years with disposables.

He had had been watching me learning the art of using a straight razor and at the age of 17 he decided to take the plunge and join me! His first shave was bloodless!! and the little S**t could use both hands!! That's One Up On The Old MAN!!!!
