    Default Changing blades ?

Just got my safety Merkur long handle couple days ago.. It only came with the one starter blade was wondering on what blade would be a good choice to go for next... I am new to DE shaving.. I don't really see any at local stores except Walmart I rather buy a 100 pack or so online seems much smarter

When I first started shaving with a DE I really enjoyed some of the sample packs you can get online. And you get to see what blade you're face likes.

Great advice spacemonkey .. That's exactly what I was just looking at on WCS site going with the choice pack seems like a good variety of choices can't wait for the blades to arrive

You will find with a DE the biggest challenge is mating the correct blade with the razor which will vary according to your beard. So, you just have to experiment with blades to find the correct combination. The sample packs are the best way to do this.

Let us know how your first few shaves go with your sampler pack. Each one can vary quite a bit......

I've used Wilkinson Sword blades with no problems in my DE for a while now. But as the man said - every beard/face is different, so I'd go with the flow and order a sample pack and see what your face likes...
