Derby blades are (IMHO) dull -- too dull to be comfortable.

Gillette "Super Thin Platinum" (I used one this morning) are better. Astras are way better, sharp and reasonably forgiving. Feathers are very sharp -- but there's a rule with Feathers:

. . . "no pressure" really means "no pressure".

They're not forgiving of mistakes. If you're careful, and have a light touch, they give a very nice shave.

A blade sampler would be a good idea -- the EJ razor is pretty mild, and you'll find something you really like to use.
