Thanked: 25Well being that I will shave tomorrow probably and will more than likely need my DE for touch ups, I stopped off at the dollar store down the street from my house and they had a pack of 5 blades for a dollar. They are packaged in the Dollar General packaging, so I dont know what brand they actually could be, but I will give them a try and see what I think. I post back with the results one I've had a shave with them. Although, Im sure they will be better then my old worn out blade that I've been using. Longevity will probably be the key with these.

Thanked: 220Blades
Walmart also sells the Gillette DE blades, (at least in the locations near me), and they seem to work fine. If not, it's easy enough to order some online.

Thanked: 25Well I tried out the dollar store blades this morning and just wanted to give you guys a little update on them real quick.
They are certainly better then the worn out Wilkinson I had been using, but to me, they are not as good as the Wilkinson blades. They seemed to be a bit rough in comparison and also drew more blood. The nicks stopped bleeding quickly, but there were still quite a few of them. Maybe next time I use it, it will work better, but right out of the gate they are harsh.

Thanked: 270I think that's great advice. Find what you like and order them in bulk from a reputable online shave place.
I like Medical Personna and a good place to get them is Robbins Instruments Personna Double Edge Prep Blades - Robbins Instruments - Medical Instruments. The postage is expensive but blades are well worth it to me.

Thanked: 25Well Walmart finally got in some more Wilk's before my latest visit so I picked up two packs of 10. That'll last me for a good little while considering I also use a SR too now. Although today I loaded one into my DE and gave it a go and man oh man, its weird how something so simple can have such drastic effects on your shave cause that fresh Wilk left my face utterly BBS with absolutely no nicks or cuts.

Any store brand blade that comes in the metal and plastic container, with the slot to put used blades on the back of the container, and with the little arrows on the blade showing you which way to slide it out of the container, is made by Personna. That was a ridiculously long sentence. Anyway, the first thing I did when I started wet shaving was try every blade available in town. Everything I use now I get online, but in an emergency (forget to pack blades on a trip, or whatever) I know where I can walk in and get the best substitute.
