Odd safety razor? Hone the blade with these!

Some of us have old non-standard razors that we would like to try. Old blades are, at best, dull. A stropper of some type in needed. This is only one type of the myriads of them designed. It aligns the blade and grips it firmly to hone or strop. I use the sides of hones to hone with this stropper. One edge at a time. It works well for some of the other narrow single edge blades also

I use the side of the hone with this stropper.
I use the stropper afterwards to strop the blades also.
I am able to shave with my edges,YMMV

I like that idea; nice looking tool. Is this item hard to find? I guess it only holds the "2" hole blades?

I use it also on single edge skinny blades that were available like the "Enders" and similar proprietary blades. My Enders is up for sotd soon. There were many manufacturers that tried to start a new style for which they owned the patents.
They often appear on the Bay and I see them in antique stores. They can also be a shavette! I did use that one once't. I survived!

I use leather and sprayed it with chrome oxide,mixed with alcohol.After shave sprayed bade with electric cleaner.One blade forever.But don't forget to support manufacturers.

One of these old E.Weck disposable blade razors works like a charm for The old Wilkinson blades! Cruddy pic, sorry!
