I’ve always felt that the choice of blade with DE shaving is highly personal. Just because some guys are using Feather blades and boasting about how sharp they are doesn’t mean that it’s the right blade for you and your face. There probably IS a right blade for you but Feather may not be the one. While what others have said is true in that bad technique will demonstrate its horrible effects with a nasty case of razor burn even more so with Feather, its also just as possible that you are simply not EVER going to like them. I used them for a while and got decent shaves with them. But when I took my foot off the gas a little and tried Kai, I hit the jackpot. I even prefer Treet now over Feather. Try some other blades. Or if Wilkinson’s were working for you go back to them. The best blade for you is not necessarily the sharpest one out there.

I just bought some and put them in my Weber, with noticable improvment in the shave. I started with DE's 3 yrs. ago using Derby and was happy, then tried Astra (a step up in my book) now the Feathers, very nice and smooth, I think one pass almost gets it done. I did get some razor hop on my head and the blade got me twice, my bad, cream dried out and I pushed it.

I started to shave with a "Feather DE" I had and stopped after just a few strokes and changed to the Personna Lab blades I have. NOTE: I thought that Feather was made in Japan? When I removed the wrapper that had a blue feather on it, there as no markings on the blade, except to say on one end "Made in U.S.A." that was about it. At least my Israeli Personnas say made in Israel on them. I was not impressed, but then, did I really have an authentic "Feather" blade?

I think I got a bogus blade then because all mine says is "Made in USA" on the one end. No other wording. Very plain vanilla looking blade as well.
