Thanked: 3ID help?
Well due to the ready availability of blades in most places, and my resent battle with my FROM hair shaper, I decided it was time to add a DE to my collection as a travel/im in a hurry razor. So I got on Ebay and started bidding on adjustables After loosing a few single razors I tossed out a bid on a lot of razors and won. Since I dont know much about these things I would appreciate some help identifying the razors, especially the two on the right as I can't seem to find as much on them. The only one I know is the one on the bottom left is either a slim or fat boy adjustable.
Thanks in advance
Connor

Connor, here is the lineup:
Bottom: Gillette slim adjustable — which is actually Fatboy on a diet.
Middle: Gillette Superspeed Flare Tip — it's a mild and sweet shaver. I restored one for my wife.
Top: Gillette Knack — one of the last of the Gillettes. The knob under the shave head opens the silo doors.
Yes, clean them up and you're ready to go.

The one second from the right with the big lever on it is a '68 Techmatic. They only made them for a few years. It was a "band" razor. The blade was a thin band of steel coiled up like the tape in cassette tape. You used it until it was dull, then used that big lever to advance the blade to a new section. When you got to the end of the band/blade (about 5 blade lengths) you popped it off and bought a new cassette. Hard to imagine that didn't catch on...........
I'm not sure, but the handle on the far right might be a Gillette "Twinjector"
If you care about this kind of thing, your Knack (top left) is a '67 and your SuperSpeed (middle left) is a '66

Thanked: 3Well the razors arrived today, and I have to say they were incredibly clean. The mystery razor on the right was a old single edge cartridge razor. Cant wait to have my first DE shave tonight, thanks all for your help

Wow, you scored 2 fatboys for a good price. Those are the most widely admired right now. If you're willing to purchase a new razor, I would advise the Edwin Jagger DE89. It is a very mild forgiving razor, while at the same time it affords a close shave.
