I guess you already know it is a fairly mild razor. In my opinion, it was very similar to my EJ. But, as you said, the stainless steel is a huge plus.

I always struggle with the terminology related to levels of aggression..

On a scale of one to ten, I agree it's aggression is low.. maybe a two. But using the same scale to measure it's efficiency it's a ten.

IMHO, that's a perfect rating. Super smooth & perfect BBS. I consider it the quintessential perfect razor, since there is nothing else I could ask for. Maybe if Michelle Pfeiffer came and shaved for me, it could be better, but, that too is a matter of YMMV.

Gentlemen, I find the Weber slightly more aggressive than Edwin Jagger and a superb closed comb razor all around. Having gone through a wide range of closed comb razors, from Edwin Jagger to Merkur, iKon, Titan, Tradere and scores of others, none has given me as comfortable a shave as the Weber. The open combs are a different subject and not relevant here. Anyway, for me, the Weber in the bulldog handle is a winner. Also, the service from Weber is superb.

I wish the DLC were still being made
There is always a solution, whether it's already present or if you have to make it.

Treat yourself to the polished version. I have both and the shave of the polished is 99% of the DLC and it's not on the unobtainable list. In many ways, I prefer the polished though... I won't part with the DLC. I have my DE inventory dialed back to the true keepers. My DE RAD has been cured by the Webers.

Ya I think I will. I'm sure if I wanted to, I could duracoat it or something. I actually like the look of the black head with the bulldog handle.

Someplace I have a picture of the DLC on a Bob's Razor Works Ultra Light Matte Black Bull Mastiff I sold a few months ago. It was a great looking combo, but it was a little head-heavy.

I prefer the Classic long handles myself...
