Great looking razor Robert.

[QUOTE=lindyhop66;1215054]I just added the Kai Excelia. Another Japanese brand/model similar to the Feather DX, in that it is a non-folding handle, yet it is heavier and amore pleasing design. I think the metal and workmanship is better with the Kai than the CJB and others like it.
That is a racy looking razor !
I got a new paint scraper a few days ago and just cleaned it up some. I want to try it out soon but of course I have questions. It came with the original blade which cleaned up nice but it barely grabs an arm hair let alone cut one. I thought I read the blades could be shapened. So do I take it to an 8k and see what I can do with it or is there a better way. Oh and 8k is as high as it goes for me unless one of my old barbers hones would be better. Maybe I should just ask for a link to the best replacement blade on the planet ?

Wecks work well. Long Personna blades from Sally's.
Maybe I just haven't figured it out yet but all I see is bulk packs of 250 or 500. I see smaller packs but not sure they are the long ones. There is no way to sharpen the original eh ? I probably won't use it more than a couple of times just to check it out.
They are $4.99 for a 5 blade pack, at Sally's.
Personna - Personna Shaper Blades
Ask for a free discount card and get them for $4.29.
They are called hair shaper blades.

Dovo, but never got the hang of it. I found it much easier to use a straight. Has anyone here ever had a blade put into liquid nitrogen before? I have heard that it tempers the steel and will stay sharper longer. Just curious.
It's shavette time!

All of the are half DE blade except Feather SS japanese style wich carries long blades.
Universal was my first wet shaving razor: if you encounter a Universal shavette (both half or full DE blade) buy it with confidence, it's a great shaver.
Sanguine coolcut4 and XD-20 are cheap but good.
Antiga Barbearia do Bairro it's very old stile looking: it's the last arrival, so I still have to give it a try.
And Feather... what else I have to say... non plus ultra. First shave I was badly surprised, but the next one I understood that it was my fault, and this pretty little thing is mavellous!
morgante,
Nice collection of disposable blade razors. :)
I have the Feather AC/DX and the SS, and, as you, I find the Feather razors, especially the AC/DX to be just superb shavers. "Marvelous" is, for me, an appropriate evaluation!!
Enjoy those razors,
Best Regards,
Howard :)
Just got my KAI Captain back from UKRob, wanted black horn scales in the form of the Feather DX razor. Great Job, feels like a whole other razor when shaving.
