    If anyone else knows of any places that offer custom shavettes, I would be more than appreciated to have a look.

    Your looking way to far, on this forum there is for instance Undream who can do wonders with any shavette or straight with replaceable blades, really fantastic work! Have a look: http://straightrazorpalace.com/members/undream.html and then look at started threats and you'll find a bunch.

    I think I might take a closer look at these myself. It appeals to me that you don't need to go around snapping DE blades in half or have to buy dedicated blades for the frame.

    No need to use special blades or split them in half. With any double-edged blade goes well
