Confused
What is the difference between a DE and a shavette?

you hold a DE like you would a mach4, a shavette is like a straight razor (held like one too), with only 1 blade showing

one uses a single permanent blade while the other uses double disposable blades..... I'm starting to feel like I'm being put on here ....!?!

No, I really did not know.
I just knew straight razor, DE, and a disposable straight.

DE - Not entirely sure, but based on previous posts, I'm guessing it's a safety razor which uses two disposable blades at the same time

Actually, the DE uses one blade that has two edges (I believe DE and Safety Razor are the same thing). Correct on the other two.
