Thread: How many shaves on a blade?

To my opinion use a blade till it's getting dull, as soon it's dull change it. DE blade Life is subjective on every person. For me exemple a feather DE is good for 7 to 9 good shave a Zorrick 1 so it's variable. The best thing to do in my opinion is to change your blade as soon your shave is incorfortable, it doesn't matter if your in the midle of your shave stop and change your blade. Gino

Update on how many shaves I get. Still using the sharks and am happy with them. I have taken too only 3 shaves then I toss the blade. Now that I have a couple years of using straights, shavettes, and DE's I have found I prefer a nice sharp blade. As the blade dulls I find it takes more effort and more irritation to get a decent shave. Also abbandoned going after a BBS shave and just go for CCS.
