    Gents:

I have to write that I feel the same as the person who begun with this post. I been a stra8t razor shaver for years (and just for fun) I purchased one non-folding feather called face knife. I just got impress of how nice the shave was. As the first writer explains you just can't go wrong with this system. I start using them once in a while then after a month I started using it every Monday morning based on the quality of shave provided. right now in some weeks I used in a full way. Very easy to used and maintained. I reco them, the only thing I can say against them is that in my case I also wear beard and in the edges (clean cut edges) its still better use straight's.

    thanks:
    Ken

My favorite thing about the Feather is when I'm in a hurry. I can do a quick 5-10 minute shave with now stropping and have about BBS before walking out the door.

Finally got around to ordering mine tonight.

I look forward to giving it a shot .

I'll let you know what I think... Right now I feel like I have just cheated on my straight collection and told my DEs they aren't cutting it lol. Almost as though they have feelings lol.

And what, pray tell, did you decide to start with?

The blasted things are so good, easy to maintain, with no need of stones, hones, strops, etc. etc., and considering time, it's difficult to decide during a morning routine as to which one to use....Feather, etc. or traditional. Time being the main issue seems to be, in most cases, the deciding factor. I really want and like to use my traditional custom/vintage razors, but it's so easy, less time and clean-up, to go with the Feather DX. I figure either way I'm still straight razor shaving.

When I have time and feel nostalgic, I certainly use a traditional straight. When less inspired or just pressed for time.....or just lazy I use the Feather. When I'm just in one of those "blah" moods I use a DE or .... I never said this... my Mach III.

I love a good razor!! Vintage, custom, or a quality "no sharpen" razor like a Feather.

    Best Regards,

    Howard

Yesterday I made the mistake of forgetting how sharp those feather blades are. I was in a hurry in the morning and so I did a quick 5 minute shave with the shavette - ended up driving to work with a towel held to my chin. Those blades are wicked.
