Thread: Weck sextoblade

Some time ago I got a Weck Sextoblade in a box of other things. The Weck was not the object of my desire, so it has been sitting on the sidelines. I fiddled with it and noticed the disposable blades are longer than the 1/2 DE blades or SE blade as well as narrower than the SE blades. While looking for SE blades at Fendrihan one day I saw the correct blades and ordered them. They came ion recently and I gave it a go. It is fairly heavy and shaves pretty close to a straight razor. The shave from the blade was not what I am used to. Perhaps in time I could get used to that edge. It was very sharp, but had no smoothness. It felt like a sterile shave, and had just sharp and nothing else. The blades are by From and perhaps another blade would make a big difference, or maybe it just needs a good stropping.
